Elevate DB Error 506 upon login

Recently a couple of users have reported receiving Error message 506 Cannot Lock... just after logging onto their clients.  As of yet only a couple of PCs seem to have been encountering the issue; however, all PCs on the network have been configured using the same settings as they were upgraded from Atrex v 14.02 to 14.31 at the same time.
     The error mentions only one of the 3 connection IDs created on the server at login (one which notes the version of Atrex and DATA).  FYI the Database Server shows version 15.0. via the Help>About.

Sorry for the delay in replying.
 
This error indicates that the database server is not able to service the client request.  There must be some activity on the server that is overwhelming the available resources at the time these clients attempt to connect.
 
This issue along with your comment regarding report performance in a previous post points to a performance problem with your installation.  If it continues, one of our technicians should take a look so do arrange to make that happen.
