Empty Categories get transfered every time I import/export

I am having to turn off the categories in ZenCart that don't have any inventory marked as post to web.
Because I end up with empty categories or sub categories.
Is there a switch / button I am missing that needs to be changed or just disable the status of the category 
in the ZenCart administraton.
Atrex 21.02
Ecommerce 10.0.0.7

Hi,

This is not controlled through the Atrex utility, rather it is controlled through the Zen Cart Administration (Configuration -> Layout Settings -> Categories with 0 Products Status)

I have that set to no. but still. Another gremlin to find.

Hi,

Sorry for the incorrect answer, I saw the Zen Cart option and interpreted it incorrectly.  This option only controls the display of the product count beside the category name.

The category status has never been altered by Atrex and the export has always created all the categories in your inventory that contain a stock code so this is not a new issue.  

Once the category is created, you can set the status and then the next export will not alter your setting.

That is what I am doing now, I just felt in older versions I did'nt have to.

Hi,
I did check the older versions and they are the same.  As some users wanted to manually control categories it was designed the way you find it.  Your post has sparked and investigation on our part to see if in the future we can accommodate both manual and automatic setting of the category status.
