Windows Vista Compatibility

Please note that as Microsoft makes updates and security changes to Windows, these compatibility statements may change depending on the effects of the Windows updates.
 

Atrex 17 and newer

These versions of Atrex have not been tested on Windows Vista.  As official support for Vista has been discontinued prior to the release of Atrex 17, Millennium Software will not be performing any compatibility testing for Atrex 17 or newer on Windows Vista, nor will we be making any program changes in Atrex 17 or newer for Vista compatibility in the event that there any incompatibilities are discovered.  Please note that we highly recommend that you upgrade any system running Windows Vista to Windows 10 for performance and usability reasons.
 

Atrex 13, 14, 15, & 16

Atrex 13, 14, 15, and 16 are fully compatible with Windows Vista.  Please note that we highly recommend that you upgrade any system running Windows Vista to Windows 7 for Atrex 13, 14, and 15, and windows 10 for Atrex 16 for performance and usability reasons.

Atrex 12
 

Based upon limited testing, Atrex 12.11 and higher is compatible with Windows Vista.   Please note that we highly recommend that you upgrade any system running Windows Vista to Windows 7 for performance and usability reasons.

Atrex 11
 

Atrex 11 will run under Windows Vista if it's loaded into the C:\Atrex folder, but will have access rights issues if installed under C:\Program Files.   There are a few known issues such as Ctrl-V (paste via keyboard) not working on a few fields.  In addition, there have been reports of errors when attempting to perform backups or restores.

Please note that while Atrex 11 appears to run correctly under Windows Vista, Millennium Software will not support Atrex 11 under Windows Vista.

Atrex 10 and Older
 

Older versions of Atrex, 10 and earlier, are incompatible with Windows Vista and are not supported on that platform even when run in compatibility mode.
