Is it possible to give other Grid Field choices such as Stock on Hand.
In general why are the grid field choices limited couldn't it include all fields that are available? Would be handy in some circumstances.

The fields available are simply the most likely to be useable by a large percentage of users.  The products listed in the selection grid are pulled back via a linked query that has to refresh after each change or repositioning in the main lookup table.  As such, we keep the number of fields limited to just those that are really necessary to prevent performance problem when scrolling through the main lookup table or when displaying the unassigned entries.

Fields we normally consider for the lookup maintenance fields are static fields that allow you to identify the product.  Fields that are dynamic such as the allocated, on-hand, or on-order values are generally not included in the lookup maintenance selection windows.

If you have a specific field that you would like to have added, let us know and we can take a look and see if it makes sense to have available for selection and what the impact is.

One example if in the Location Maintenance module there was also a "on quantity" that could be changed it would make counts a lot quicker. Count a location and go to that module and change the item(s) that need on hand quantity adjusted. Other places such as a report to allow adjusting Service rep or due date from a list of all Open Service orders. Thus do not have to go into each Service order to update.

While we can add additional fields to the lookup maintenance windows, we won't be adding the ability to edit the products from the associated lists directly from those windows.  The inventory update worksheet already provides the ability to sort by location, provides the required security restrictions, and provides for an audit of the changes being made there along with the saving off the pre and post edit values for reporting.
