Consider to add "Bank Transfer" as payment method to distinguish the payments done through bank transfers. Under the "Other" tap only the "credit memo" is acceptable.

If you go to Options - Company Setup / Customization - Lookup Selections - Payment Types, the Other Types tab allows you to specify as many different payment methods as are appropriate.

Should this not address your requirements let me know.
