Printer Layout question
Question asked by Graham Whitaker - 3/15/2015 at 8:47 PM

Hi, hopefully someone here can help. Like normal it's probably easy, but finding it is another thing.

When we print a custom sales report,,say a month to date sales report, the numbers are not all visible.
This also happens when we print.
The first figure, the Unit price total is missing the last few numbers, and the column with the Ex Net column only shows some of the figure, IE, 393.09. It will be missing the first numbers if it was meant to be say 15393.09..

We have all looked at the printer set up area but nothing sticks out.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Graham,

If you are missing left-hand characters, the value is larger than the field size in the report can display with the given font.  For the report you mention, the size of the fields in the standard report should allow for values with six or not seven digits so if you are not exceeding those, it must be an issue with your printer's font.  Try printing to file with PDF and if you see the full value, you are certain that it is an issue with your printer driver and you can try reinstalling.  If the PDF also shows the same results as your printer, you will need to edit the report and enlarge the fields.

Thanks Mark.
Our problem is this only affects the bottom line numbers in reports.
Totals. As the report is longer the total is bigger.

You will need to alter the report to make the fields larger to suit your needs. If you are not familiar with the report designer, the following link provides some guidance:
