What causes nearly duplicate entries on the conitems table?

I'm analyzing data from Atrex 19 from the ord, oritem, conitems, and code tables. I'm seeing a number of entries for a container StockCode that are the same except for conitems.ItemGUID. My guess is that these are getting inserted every time that container is added to an order.

That is correct.  Conitems contains all of the items included in the container for that instance of the high level item.  As they are all the same contents, it simply means that the containers all have the same contents and are not being customized.
